The Cobblestone Story:
Heather Jones and Alyssa Yount first crossed paths while attending the University of Georgia in 1999, while working toward their Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in the College of Education. After graduating in 2001, both worked in the Gwinnett County School System, where the two would continue to cross paths at various county meetings and continuing education programs. A few years later, both clinicians were led to go into private practice and they worked individually in a variety of home and early education settings for several years, staying in touch and collaborating on developing their businesses. In 2005, Heather and Alyssa began meeting and discussing the possibility of opening a clinic site as a joint project. From these early discussions, Cobblestone Therapy Group was born and officially opened for business on July 6, 2006.
From our hearts to yours...
"We founded Cobblestone based on a shared love for working with children and their families to help them progress with speech, language, and communication, while building their confidence, connection, and skills within their family, social, school, and community environments. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of care and want Cobblestone families to always know they are cherished, supported, and loved.
From the moment our clients, their families, caregivers, and friends enter our office we want to make them feel at home and a part of a network of providers, supporters, and friends. We are family here.
We are blessed with amazing clinicians, clients, and families every day. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives. It is truly a blessing to us to have this opportunity. IT has been a great adventure, and we look forward to the years to come!"
With love,
--Alyssa Yount and Heather Jones (Co-founders)
